Ellard Charity Run 2015
On the 25th and 26th of July, a team from Ellard are competing in the Cotswold 24 hour, as a charity run in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Please see a link to the site and more details of the challenge ahead.
The idea is that each team member will complete between 3 and 5 9k runs in a 24hour period.
The Teenage Cancer Trust is a fantastic Charity that supports young people going through the most serious of illnesses. They not only support the patient but also their families, providing a modern and comfortable environment for them to receive the treatment they need, why still receiving the support of the people closest to them.
Statement from Rob, Ellard’s Operations Director:
From personal experience I have watched my 15 year old Niece Abi receive treatment for Leukaemia at Alderhey in Liverpool and The Royal Children’s Hospital in Manchester. My cousin’s 13 year old son Seth is also recovering from a malignant brain tumour after having treatment at the Teenage Cancer Trust in Birmingham.
Without charities like Teenage Cancer Trust, the horrendous ordeal they are going through would be a whole lot harder to cope with. This is a charity that you hope you will never need but if you do you will be thankful it is here. To continue the amazing work they do up and down the country, they need our support.
