NVQ Training for 2016 from Ellard
CSCS card expired or due to expire? Contact us today!!
Do not get caught out and refused entry onto site. Once your CSCS card has expired you will need to complete an NVQ. After getting registered the process will typically take three months to complete. See below a brief guide to the NVQ process.
Health & Safety test (now known as the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test) must be completed to become fully qualified. This can be arranged using the CITB website. Training material is available also from their website at http://citbstore.pearsonvue.com/default.asp
This can be completed before or during the NVQ.
At the start of the NVQ a visit to the company’s premises is required. This is to register and enrol the engineers on the course and run the processes and procedures that make up the qualification, ideally this will coincide with an on site observation.
Fitters will need to supply a C.V., N.I. number, previous employment history and give examples of door types installed/serviced or repaired.
A registration fee of £80 made payable to C.I.T.B is required for the registration. The registration process normally takes 1-2 weeks.
Once this has taken place we need to conduct 2 – 3 on site observations (this will depend on the knowledge of the engineer)
A work based recorder will need to be appointed by the company more information on this role can be accessed via the below link.
