  • Description

    Suitable for shutters, gates and barriers, resistive safety sensors guard closing edges at points where there is a risk of injury.

    Ellard’s resistive safety edges are fitted to the bottom edge of a door or gate and use electrical resistance to detect obstacles.  If the system detects an obstruction, it stops and returns, thereby preventing damage to whatever is lying in the path of the door.

    Ellard safety edges can be connected to control panels either through curly cable, or our wireless WES system, which means the end of curly cables and is suitable for larger applications.

    Safety edges are a part of your legal requirements for safety on impulse driven doors.

    On shutter door applications we use both resistive and optical edges for safety.

All motors can be set to a Smoke Curtain mode, and our new Fire Door Control Panel has a panic circuit function to guarantee a means of escape.This allows you to re-open the shutter 3/4 then immediately re-close when fire alarm is still active.
