We’re delighted to welcome Claire Newns to Ellard as our new Head of Finance. With nearly two decades of experience across multiple sectors, Claire brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for continuous improvement, both personally and professionally.

To help everyone get to know her a little better, we sat down with Claire to hear more about her background, what excites her most about joining Ellard, and her first impressions of life here so far.

A Career Built on Growth and Learning

“My career in Finance, spanning almost 20 years, has taken me from Accounts Assistant to Head of Finance across a range of industries, including professional services, raw commodities, tech and now into distribution. My learning has not just been limited to the office; I have been fortunate to be able to balance my roles alongside achieving a Master’s Degree in Management & Leadership, and then onto gaining my professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant with CIMA."

Claire’s extensive background gives her a well-rounded understanding of both operational and strategic finance, making her an excellent fit to support Ellard’s ongoing growth and innovation.

“I am an advocate for life-long learning, and excited to see how my journey continues here at Ellard.
