For many doors, the safety edge at the bottom is a critical feature: it prevents accidents by stopping the door if it hits an obstacle. But what happens when the floor isn’t perfectly level?
In some cases, the door may stop too early or unnecessarily, causing frustration and even potential damage.
To solve this, it can be necessary to temporarily deactivate the safety edge for the last 5 cm of closure. The safety edge exclusion zone ensures smooth operation while staying within safety standards.
This procedure can be used only for doors which require more than 10 seconds for each manoeuvre. The exclusion of the safety edge is applied only if the closure starts from the upper limit switch and it is not stopped.
How to Program the Safety Edge Exclusion Zone on the TVNRG
Step One: Enter Activation Mode

To activate programming mode, switch the panel off and then back on.
Within 30 seconds of powering on, press the P1 button 10 times.
Then press and hold the button for 5 seconds.
The buzzer will sound three times to confirm that programming mode is active.
Step Two: Programming Exclusion Zone

Open the door fully from half open position, in hold to run mode. The buzzer will sound a long beep at the upper limit.
Place a sturdy object under the door (maximum 5 cm high).
Close the door in hold-to-run mode. The door will stop at the object, and the control unit will beep.
Open the door fully, remove the object, and close the door again to ensure the adjustment works correctly.
Step Three: Exit Programming Mode

To exit programming mode, switch the panel off and then back on.
Within 30 seconds of powering on, press the P1 button 11 times.
Then press and hold the button for 5 seconds.
The buzzer will sound five times to confirm that programming mode has deactivated.
By following these steps, installers can ensure doors operate safely and reliably, even on uneven floors. It’s a small adjustment with a big impact on performance and peace of mind.
⚠ Important: Only a qualified installer should perform this adjustment. Proper application is key for both safety and compliance.
