When it comes to installing or servicing the TVNRG garage door control panel, several questions arise repeatedly. To support your work and complement our video mini-series, we’ve broken down the three most common queries, what they mean, and how to fix them quickly on-site.
1. Why is my Power LED flashing on the TVNRG?
If you’re seeing a flashing red Power LED, your panel isn’t faulty; it’s simply in Limit Learn Mode.
This mode lets you manually set your shutter’s open and close positions using dead-man control. In other words, you hold the button to move the shutter, giving you full control while setting the limits.
In Limit Learn Mode:
PROG → Opens the shutter
DEL → Closes the shutter (Both must be held down to move the door)
Once your limits are set, you’re ready to exit:
How to exit Limit Learn Mode
Hold PROG + DEL together for 5 seconds
Release when the panel beeps
The Power LED turns solid → meaning you’re back in full automatic operation
Simple, safe, and ready to run.
2. What is Motor Torque Setting on the TVNRG?
Think of Motor Torque as the panel’s force protection system.
If something or someone obstructs the shutter during movement, the motor stalls. As a safety response, the panel automatically drops the door by 50mm to release pressure and avoid trapping.
Why you might need to adjust it
Over time, older motors can begin to draw more current. When this happens, the panel may interpret the extra current as an obstruction, causing the shutter to randomly stop and reverse even when there’s nothing in the way.
In these cases, you may need to disable the torque limitation.
How to disable Motor Torque
Turn off the 230V mains
Turn it back on
On the back of a programmed transmitter, hold the small black button
Hold for 5 seconds → panel beeps
Release
Press the button 4 times, holding on the 4th press
Keep holding until you hear one single beep
Torque limitation is now disabled.
(Note: Only do this if you’re confident the door and installation are safe. Always follow site safety best practices.)
3. How do I programme a transmitter on the TVNRG?
The TVNRG supports one-button and two-button operation, depending on how you want your customer to control their door.
Option 1 — One-Button Operation
(Up → Stop → Down all on a single button)
Hold the PROG button on the panel
You’ll hear a constant beep
While still holding PROG, press the button on the transmitter you want to use
The tone changes to intermittent
Done — transmitter learned
Option 2 — Two-Button Operation
(One button for Up, one for Down)
Press the PROG button twice, holding on the second press
You’ll hear a constant beep
While holding PROG, press any button on the transmitter
The tone changes to intermittent
The panel automatically assigns:
Top button = Up
Second button = Down
Transmitter programmed, ready for use.
