Ellard Raises £175 for Manchester Mind in Support of Mental Health Awareness

From tempting homemade treats at our bake sale to the excitement of our charity raffle, Ellard kicked off October by bringing staff together for a day of fundraising, fun and an important cause. Thanks to everyone's generosity and participation, we raised £175 for Manchester Mind, helping support the charity's vital work across Greater Manchester.

Mental health affects us all, and raising awareness is an important step towards breaking down stigma, encouraging open conversations and ensuring people feel comfortable seeking support when they need it. Creating a workplace culture where employees feel valued, listened to and supported is equally important in helping to protect and improve mental wellbeing.

At Ellard, we recognise that supporting our people goes beyond raising awareness. We provide a range of resources to help employees access support, including trained Mental Health First Aiders, relevant training, 24/7 telephone support and access to online services. These initiatives help ensure our staff have access to guidance and support both in and outside the workplace.

This commitment is also reflected in the Social pillar of our ESG programme, supported by the Social Team, which is dedicated to continually improving the workplace experience for Ellard employees. The team regularly researches and monitors staff feedback, needs and priorities to better understand what matters most to our people. By listening to employees and identifying opportunities for improvement, the aim is to create a working environment that reflects what truly makes Ellard a good place to work.
