Ellard Expands into the Dock Leveller Market with the RAMP Combined Door and Dock Leveller Control Panels
Ellard is expanding its offering in the dock leveller market while strengthening its sectional door control range with the launch of the new RAMP1 and RAMP3 Combined Dock Leveller Panels. Bringing together dock leveller and door motor control in a single housing, the new panels offer an integrated solution for loading bay applications, combining established Ellard control technology with dedicated functionality for swing lip and telescopic lip dock levellers.

One Panel. Integrated Control.
Loading bays rely on the coordinated operation of industrial doors and dock levellers. By combining their controls within a single panel, the RAMP range brings these functions together in one integrated solution, helping simplify the control setup and providing a central point of operation.
At the heart of both panels is the Promax motor controller, drawing on the technology of Ellard’s flagship control panel range. This established control platform brings integrated operation and built-in safety functionality to the new RAMP range, alongside the flexibility to configure each installation to suit its requirements.
Promax: Built-In Performance and Safety
The Promax+ control platform offers a range of features designed to support straightforward installation, efficient fault-finding and flexible configuration. Its built-in digital display enables easier setup, intuitive programming and quicker diagnostics, while LED diagnostics provide additional support when identifying faults. A wide range of safety inputs supports 8K2 safety, optical safety, light curtains and photocells, while compatibility with both Kostal and Elektromaten encoder systems gives installers greater flexibility across compatible motor and retrofit applications.
The Promax platform also features an integrated plug-in expansion system, supporting modules for multi-channel radio control, traffic lights, induction loops and wireless safety edges. With modules connecting directly to the control board, there is no need for separate expansion housings, helping create a cleaner installation and reduce wiring time.
Building on these capabilities, the RAMP panels incorporate an additional door-open safety interlock, which prevents the door from operating while the dock leveller is in use. This helps prevent conflicting movements during loading bay operation, bringing added safety to the combined control of the door and dock leveller.
RAMP1: Combined Swing Lip Dock Leveller
Designed for swing lip dock leveller systems, RAMP1 combines control of the levelling ramp and swing lip through a single valve and one-button operation.
An automatic lowering function returns the dock leveller to its resting position, supporting straightforward operation. Combined with the integrated door motor control and Promax safety interlock, RAMP1 brings the essential controls together in one housing.
RAMP3: Combined Telescopic Lip Dock Leveller
For applications using a telescopic lip, RAMP3 offers a more configurable control arrangement. Supporting up to three valves, it provides independent control of the levelling ramp and lip through three dedicated buttons.
Operators can raise the ramp, extend the lip and return it using the dedicated controls. As with RAMP1, the panel integrates door motor control and incorporates the Promax motor controller with its door-open safety interlock. Optional plug-in modules provide further flexibility to configure the system around the installation.
